The vigil will focus on the deaths of the thousands of children and babies killed by indiscriminate bombing of residential buildings and hospitals by Israel since 7th October.
The plan for this vigil is different to previous vigils: Initially, we will gather in Commercial Way at 1pm, and then split into smaller groups around the shopping area to reach out to as many members of the public as possible. Childrens shoes will be laid out in a designated area with names and photos of some of the children . If you are able to volunteer and help with the preparation work, printing, laminating, advertising the event prior to the event, support with setting up, or any other way during the 2 hour vigil, please email [email protected] with your name and contact details. We are asking for volunteers to support setting up event from 12:30 on the day. Volunteers are also needed to hold photos of children in different locations in the town centre. Israel is not stopping its bombardment of Gaza, so we will not stop marching for a ceasefire. Last time 800 000 of us were on the streets in London. See you all again on Saturday 25 November. #ceasefireNOW
