We will have flags and (hopefully) a West Surrey PSC banner.   On Wednesday 10th January, the government's toxic 'anti-boycott' bill will be returning to parliament for its third reading in the House of Commons. We need thousands of people writing to MPs NOW demanding that they vote against this dangerous new law.
If passed, this bill will prevent public bodies – including local councils, universities, and public sector pension funds – from making ethical choices about spending and investment and ban their participation in political boycotts... especially those against Israel. This bill must be defeated, but that can only be done with your help. Please take 2 minutes to email your MP using our template letter. We will gather in our usual spot, but then peal off in groups to stand outside specific shops with Boycott banners. Depending on how many of us there are we can cover a few stores, and still have a presence in the High Street.  |
